Keep your fingers crossed!

I am in Houston at my dad's house right now. My apartment's zip code was one with a mandatory evacuation. I was supposed to be moving in to my new apartment today. HA! So right now I am hoping that the school and my new apartment are going to be ok. They are in League City , and are 4 miles from Kemah (which is on Galveston Bay) . So needless to say, everything except my scrap room is packed and ready for the move. I brought all my pages and albums with me, of course. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lives in Galveston and my friends in South Houston who also had to evacuate.

I hope to update again soon!

More layouts...I'm cathchin up on posting!

It's been like Christmas at the store this week! Tons of boxes of new goodies just begging me to play with them. Of course, I haven't had a minute to think about scrapbooking. I must have been to the two teachers supply stores in my area 10 times this week. Every time I think I have everything I "need", I think of more. I just keep telling myself, "Next year will be better & a lot less expensive. At least when it comes to setting the room up."

So, this weekend, I am having a pre-birthday celebration! Even though my birthday isn't until the 15th, I am going to celebrate with all my fam and friends in BR. I am so excited to go eat at the new Zea's in Baton Rouge....This place is sooooooo yummy. I used to go all the time when I lived in Metairie. So between Zea's, an Ambrosia Fresh Strawberry Cake, and a night out dancing hopefully the stress of life right now will disipate and I will be able to just be for a bit. Just have fun without the stress and emotional rollercoaster I have been riding the past couple weeks. So, here's to turning 25 and going into a new career with a bang!

I will leave you with some more Glitz layouts! I did these a while ago but hadn't posted yet.

Have a great Weekend,

Crazy kind of life lately...

Wow! I have so much to post and share. Especially recent pages and such that I haven't gotten around to posting yet.

I have been so busy getting things done at the store and getting things done in my classroom that I haven't had a free minute. All the while trying not to be sad about leaving the store full time. :(
My mom and I worked all last week in my classroom (with no AC, might I add) and it is finally looking like a real room! Once it is finished I will have to post pics, but there is still nothing on the wall, so I still have some hours to put in there.

So....I am just so tickled pink.....that some of my work was displayed in the Glitz booth at CHA summer a couple of weeks ago. Their new lines are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I also got to hang out with those crazy girls and had a great time in Chicago!!!!!!!!!!

This is a shadowbox made with lots and lots of Glitz!
And this is a layout of my dear friend (Who I miss terribly) Natalie. The letter stickers are my favorite new Glitz product called Glitzers. They are smooth like a rub on and have bling built-in! Way cool!

And the cute O-man last Christmas! So adorable. I love the paper with the fat Santa's. HAHA! Always makes me giggle.

Just got back...

I flew in earlier today so I could make it to our first Sunday Night Layouts Class today. (Thanks to Tracy---who is the best boss ever!!!)

We had such a good time. The best part of the trip with my fam was just LAUGHING. ALOT! When we all get together it can sometimes be intense. 3 sisters= lots of opinions! But for the most part I just looked back on the past week and remembered LAUGHING. I mean belly laughing until it hurt! hehe! I love my sisters. I love seeing the people that we've grown up to be and I miss hanging out more with them. Above are some photos from the trip that my stepdad took. ~J

Just a couple more layouts using some fun new goodies...

Tim is the man!

This weekend Tim Holtz came to teach at By Design! It was so amazing! He was a really great teacher and a really cool guy. I learned so much from him, just by going and listening in between customers! He has me wanting to use alcohol inks!!!! That is something, I must admit, I have never even wanted to dabble in. Hehe! Let's see, what else did I learn about Tim...He loves the smell of grungeboard (which does smell good), hates cooked fruit (haha! don't ask!) and has created the most amazing sanding tool!!!! It is so nice to be able to use sand paper on layouts and not have to actually "touch" it!

I have finally gotten some photos of layouts to put up here. Its been a while since I've had any new ones posted.

We Celebrated BIG!

National Scrapbook Day at By Design proved a huge hit! We all worked so hard to get "Cruisin' Through National Scrapbook Day" off the ground, and boy did we have a crowd. :) Here are some pictures from the day...
