Nervous Insomnia

AHHHH! I should be sound asleep right now, letting my brain get some rest so I will be raring to go in a few hours. But no, I am sitting in bed wide awake. I will be taking my last teaching test in the morning and so when all goes well, I will have everything completed to get my standard teaching certificate in TX! Woo Hoo!

It is depressing to me that it is July already. I have been mopey about it for 2 days. When I am at the scrapbook store I want to stay there...not worry about getting ready for school!!!! It really is an inner battle with me. I love doing both things dearly and have been blessed with gifts in both areas. I guess for now I am going to change the mopey attitude to an excited one. I still have a month at By Design to play and plan and make kits and we have a retreat in August. That will be a great way to end the summer.

Missing this girl like crazy...Haven't seen my sister in a while and I am in desperate need of a crafty sister day! Won't you just move to TX already???

Ok, I am going to attempt some sleep...I will have to post later with all the pages I have been doing.!!!! Mainly for my dear friend Missy who may never speak to me again if I don't hurry up and get her scrapbooking done and caught up ;) HAHA! More on that later.

Boy it is hot!

Thank gosh for being able to stay in and scrapbook! It has been very nice to get some kits and layouts and make n takes done for the store. By Design will be hopping this weekend for a big birthday celebration! I can't believe it is almost July. Ugh! Really? Does summer always go by this fast for teachers? It has me a little depressed. I will enjoy it while it lasts, none the less!

Here are some recent projects and pages that I needed to post. Happy Summer!

The canvas was such a fun project! I decided that after making this one for the designer wall at By Design, that I want to make 6 8x10 canvases to hang above my couch!

Fun projects for the summer

I have just been itching to get some decorating done around my apartment. after all, I've lived here for around 10 months. It's about time! So while my mom was here this week she helped me start to hang my plate wall. I was so inspired by an altered dinner plate at the Jenni Bowlin booth at CHA that I thought I'd try it. I found most of the plates on the wall at Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and of course ...Good Will. I was so proud. I did not pay more than $1.99 for any of them. I altered 2 so far, and plan on adding to the collection. I found a sweet baby one at an antique shope in Houston this weekend. Not sure if they should be closer together....
Heading to By Design now for a class. :)
